Privacy Policy
There’s a whole bunch of legalese that goes into these things, but I’d like to keep mine simple.
I use Amazon Affiliate links.
I really hate banner ads and pop-ups and pop-unders and all of that. I hate finding an article I really want to read on my phone, only to go to the site and have it lock everything up due to all the ads. I’ve found that the best way to try and monetize my site is through affiliate links. Amazon requires I post the following statement:
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
What does this mean for you? It means that when you click on an Amazon link from one of my posts, I will get a small cut. This doesn’t cost you anything extra and I don’t set Amazon’s prices. I simply link to things for sale on Amazon. I don’t actually sell anything on Amazon.
I use Google Analytics.
In order to better understand who is actually reading what I write, I use Google Analytics to track my visitors. This can include everything from what search term you used to come to my site, what country you are from, what browser you are using, how long you’ve spent at my site and more. I do not know who you actually are or where you live or anything like that. Well, technically, Google tells me what country you’re from. Unless it’s a very small country, with maybe one person (you), I’m going to have a very hard time finding you.
All that being said, I do use the service. Google uses cookies to track all this data so therefore, I use cookies too. Here is the official legalese I’m supposed to put in here:
This site uses Cookies to analyze user activity in order to improve the website.
I essentially abide by Google’s Terms of Service.
If you want to understand how Google uses this data, you can visit and read Google’s Privacy and Terms.
Disclosure Statement
I will sometimes do sponsored articles. Sometimes, vendors send me items to review. Most times I buy them on my own, but sometimes they send me stuff.
If a vendor has sent me something to review, I will always disclose it to you at the very top of the article. This makes sure that we are both on the same page. I will do my best to still provide a fair review of the item, despite whether or not I got it as a review item or I purchased it on my own.
